(TOMMY)>> WE STARTED WITH A BRAND NEW MUSTANG GT, AND WITH THE HELP OF VAUGHN GITTIN JUNIOR, WE'VE UPGRADED THE SUSPENSION WITH A BUNCH OF VAUGHN'S OWN RTR COMPONENTS, AND POWERSTOP BRAKE PARTS LIKE THESE ROTORS AND PADS. WE'VE ALSO ADDED A SUPERCHARGER, A SOLID MOUNTED SHORT THROW SHIFT, A CARBON FIBER DRIVE SHAFT, AND MAGNAFLOW EXHAUST, AND ON THE DYNO WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM ADAM BROWN AT REVOLUTION AUTOMOTIVE OUR MUSTANG MADE 385 REAR WHEEL HORSEPOWER.

(MARC)>> THEN WE WENT INSIDE AND INSTALLED A FOUR POINT ROLL BAR, AS WELL AS FORD PERFORMANCE REAR SEAT DELETE, SEATS, AND STEERING WHEEL. NOW WE'RE GONNA BE GIVING THIS THING AWAY AND YOU COULD BE THE LUCKY WINNER. JUST GO TO POWERSTOP DOT COM OR POWERNATION TV DOT COM TO ENTER TO WIN. WHAT'S GREAT ABOUT IT IS IT'S GONNA ALLOW US TO RUN A MUCH WIDER WHEEL AND TIRE SETUP. IT'S GONNA ALLOW THIS THING TO DO MUCH BETTER ON TRACK. THE DRAWBACK IS WE'RE GONNA HAVE TO DO SOME MAJOR CUTTING INTO THIS THING. WE'RE NOT GONNA TRAUMATIZE YOU GUYS WITH THAT. IN THE MEANTIME WE DO HAVE SOME OTHER MODIFICATIONS WE'RE GONNA DO TO THE FRONT BUMPER. TOMMY'S GONNA SHOW YOU THAT.

(TOMMY)>> NOW ON THE NOSE OF THIS THING WE'RE GONNA BE SWAPPING OUT THE UPPER AND LOWER GRILLS, AND PRIMARILY FOR THE INCREASED AIR FLOW. THE ORIGINALS ARE FAR MORE STOPPED UP HERE ON THE SIDES AND ALL THE WAY ACROSS ON THE TOP.

(MARC)>> HERE YOU GO BUD.

(TOMMY)>> THANKS MAN. NOW WE'RE ALSO GONNA BE ADDING A LITTLE BIT MORE PERSONALITY OF THIS THING RIGHT HERE WITH A CHIN SPOILER. NOW IN THE BACK OF IT WE CAN'T LEAVE IT ALONE EITHER. WE'VE GOT TO ADD THIS REAR DIFFUSER AND SPOILER, AND ON THE SIDES WE'RE GONNA SLAP ON THOSE SKIRTS, BUT WE'VE GOT TO GET THAT THING TORE DOWN FIRST. SO LET'S GET BUSY.

THE FIRST THING TO DO IS PRY THE BUMPERS SUPPORT OUT BY RELEASING A FEW PRESSURE CLIPS.

THEN USING THE SAME METHOD, THE UPPER GRILL CAN BE PRIED AWAY FROM THE FRONT BUMPER COVER, AND THE SAME GOES FOR THE LOWER.

NOW BEFORE I SNAP THIS UPPER GRILL IN I HAD TO DRILL A COUPLE OF HOLES FOR THIS OPTIONAL SIDE GRILL LIGHT. IT ISN'T NO BIG DEAL. JUST A COUPLE HOLES BACK HERE ON THE BACK, WE'LL BE IN BUSINESS. [ drill spinning ]

(MARC)>> THIS GRILL IS MADE TO BE USED WITH OR WITHOUT THE OPTIONAL LIGHTS, BUT WE'RE GOING ALL OUT. SO WE CHOSE TO INSTALL THEM.

WITH THOSE IN WE CAN MOVE ON TO GETTING THE GRILL INSTALLED, WHICH JUST SNAPS TO THE BUMPER COVER JUST LIKE THE STOCK PIECE. THE SAME GOES FOR THE LOWER GRILL, AND THEN THE SUPPORT CAN GO BACK IN. WE NEED TO REMOVE THE SCREWS THAT HOLD THE FOG LAMP IN... [ drill spinning ]

(MARC)>> ...AND WITH THE LAMP OUT OF THE WAY THE BEZEL CAN BE PRIED LOOSE FROM THE BUMPER COVER.

(TOMMY)>> I REMOVED OUR OLD LENS AND INSTALLED IT INTO OUR NEW BRACKET, AND NOW IF YOU'LL NOTICE, THIS ONE'S CUT OUT CONSIDERABLY BIGGER THAN THAT OLD ONE. WELL THIS IS DONE TO ACCOMMODATE THAT CHIN SPOILER. NOW WE JUST NEED TO BOLT IT IN PLACE. WE'RE JUST REINSTALLING THIS PIECE, FOLLOWED BY THE FOG LAMP.

WITH THE SCREWS REMOVED, THE CHIN SPOILER JUST UNSNAPS FROM THE BUMPER COVER. IT GETS REPLACED WITH THIS NEW CHIN SPOILER FROM RTR. THIS ONE'S A BIT MORE AGGRESSIVE BUT INSTALLS IN THE STOCK LOCATION WITH THE ORIGINAL HARDWARE.

NOW IT'S TIME TO SEE IT ON THE CAR.

MAN THAT LOOKS NICE! CHECK OUT THAT TRANSFORMATION FROM STOCK TO READY TO ROCK! NOW WE'RE PRETTY MUCH DONE WITH THE NOSE END OF OUR MUSTANG. NOW IT'S KIND OF HARD TO GET THE TRUE EFFECT OF THIS THING WITH IT SITTING A FOOT AND A HALF OFF THE GROUND, BUT ONCE WE GET IT SITTING ON ALL FOURS YOU'LL SEE THE AGGRESSIVENESS.

(MARC)>> AND WE'VE GOT TO FINISH THIS WIDE BODY KIT, AS WELL AS ADD SOME THINGS TO THE REAR. THEN WE'VE GOT TO FIGURE OUT ABOUT SOME WHEELS AND TIRES, FILL UP THESE BIG HOLES.

(TC)>> THAT'S ACTUALLY "OPALESCENT BLUE" BY GLASRUIT OVER TOP OF ALL EASTWOOD PRODUCTS. IT TURNED OUT BEAUTIFULLY. LEE WANTED THE CAR TO LOOK SILVER AND BLUE IN CERTAIN LIGHTS, AND IT REALLY DOES THAT.

(KATIE)>> I THINK YOU GUYS NAILED IT, AND I HAD THE CHANCE TO SIT IN IT EARLIER TODAY. I'LL TELL YOU, THAT LEATHER IS SO SOFT IN THE INTERIOR.

(TC)>> NOW WE GOT ALL OF THAT FROM BAS. THEY DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB. THEY PUT ALL THE ORIGINAL STITCH JUST LIKE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN IN 1967, AND THEN WE INSTALLED IT ALL, AND IT TURNED OUT REALLY NICE.

(KATIE)>> AND THOSE PERIOD CORRECT GAUGES, HOW'D YOU GET THAT TO HAPPEN?

(TC)>> WELL MY FRIEND FRANK AT SNG SENT THOSE BACK TO ENGLAND AND HAD THE ORIGINAL MILES, IT'S ONLY GOT 30,000 ORIGINAL MILES ON IT, AND THEY RESTORED THEM EXACTLY THE WAY THEY WERE, AND THEN SENT THEM BACK TO ME AND I PUT THEM ALL IN.

NOW IN THE KIT IT SENT US THESE NIFTY LITTLE SETS OF BLUEPRINTS BECAUSE WE'VE GOT TO PUNCH A COUPLE OF HOLES IN THE TOP HERE. ISN'T NO BIG DEAL, JUST GOT TO MAKE SURE WE PUT THEM IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

(MARC)>> THERE ARE A FEW POINTS OF ALIGNMENT MARKED ON OUR TEMPLATE.

(TOMMY)>> ALL RIGHT, PULL IT BACK TO YOU. I'M RIGHT ON THE EDGE.

(MARC)>> AND ONCE WE GET THEM LINED UP WE CAN TAKE THEM DOWN. THEN WE'LL CENTER PUNCH OUR HOLES AND REMOVE THE TEMPLATE. DRILL AN EIGHTH INCH HOLE FIRST.

FOLLOW THAT UP WITH THREEEIGHTHS.

THEN WE CAN PEEL THE BACKING OFF THE DOUBLE SIDED TAPE.

(TOMMY)>> HERE YOU GO.

(MARC)>> LINE UP THE STUDS WITH THE HOLES, AND SNAP IT IN. THEN WE'LL TIGHTEN THE NUTS AND SHE'S ALL DONE. HERE'S A LITTLE TIP WHEN YOU'RE INSTALLING A NUT INTO A HOLE LIKE THIS AND YOU DON'T WANT TO LOSE THE NUT. JUST USE A LITTLE PIECE OF TAPE, STICKY SIDE OUT OVER THE NUT. THEN YOU WON'T LOSE IT.

WELL WE'RE GETTING REALLY CLOSE ON OUR POWERSTOP MUSTANG, AND AS YOU KNOW, WE'VE BEEN RELYING ON VAUGHN GITTIN JUNIOR AND RTR TO GET THIS THING DIALED IN JUST RIGHT, AND VAUGHN'S HERE TO PUT SOME WHEELS AND TIRES ON. WHAT DO YOU GOT?

(VAUGHN)>> WELL WE HOOKED UP WITH OUR FRIENDS AT CENTERLINE AND GOT A VERY EARLY VERSION OF THE REV SEVEN WHEEL. THESE ARE A THREE PIECE VERSION OF THIS RIM. IT'S ACTUALLY THE SAME EXACT STYLE THAT MY TEAMMATE, CHELSEA DENOFA, USES ON HIS FORMULA DRIFT MUSTANG RTR. WE WENT WITH A 20 BY 11 FOR THE REAR, AND 20 BY NINE AND A HALF FOR THE FRONT. WE'VE WRAPPED THEM IN SOME NITTO NT 555 GTWO RUBBER. THEY'RE THE ULTIMATE TIRE FOR THE STREET AND HAVING SOME FUN ON THE TRACK.

SO WE'RE RAISING THE CAR ON ALL FOUR CORNERS RIGHT AROUND THREE QUARTERS TO AN INCH, AND THAT SHOULD GET US THE PERFECT FORM AND FUNCTION THAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR.

NOW WE WANT TO DIVE INTO SETTING UP AND THE OPERATIONS OF YOUR TORCH ITSELF. NOW OBVIOUSLY THE FIRST THING YOU'D DO IS TURN YOUR BOTTLES ON. ON THE ACETYLENE ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS OPEN THIS VALVE UP ABOUT A HALF TO A QUARTER TURN. UP HERE ON THE OXYGEN YOU CAN GO A FULL OR TWO ON IT. THE REASON YOU WANT TO OPEN THIS ONE ONLY ABOUT A HALF IS JUST IN CASE THINGS HEAD SOUTH ON YOU, YOU NEED TO CUT THE BOTTLES OFF IN A HURRY, THIS ONE YOU CAN DO IT REAL QUICK. NOW WITH YOUR TORCH YOU HAVE THREE KNOBS ON IT. TWO OF THEM FOR THE OXYGEN, ONE OF THEM FOR THE ACETYLENE. THIS ONE HERE AND THIS ONE HERE IS FOR THE OXYGEN. NOW YOU CAN LEAVE THE LOWER ONE ON BECAUSE YOU CAN REGULATOR THE OXYGEN UP HERE ON THE TOP. TO STRIKE THIS THING UP, FIRE IT UP IF YOU WILL, JUST CRACK OPEN YOUR ACETYLENE. NOW IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO USE A STRIKER, NOT A CIGARETTE LIGHTER, BECAUSE THIS THING HERE KEEPS YOUR FINGER AWAY FROM THE FLAME, KEEP YOU FROM GETTING BURNED. NOW WHEN YOU START ADJUSTING THE ACETYLENE HERE, WHEN YOU DIAL IT BACK IT'LL START GENERATING A WHOLE LOT OF SOOT, OR SMOKE. YOU WANT TO CRANK IT UP TO JUST ABOUT IS ALL GONE. THEN YOU CAN BRING IN THE OXYGEN.

NOW WHEN YOU BRING IN THE OXYGEN IT'LL START MAKING A LITTLE LIGHT BLUE FLAME. KIND OF LOOKS LIKE A BIG LONG FEATHER. YOU START DIALING IT BACK UNTIL IT PRETTY MUCH GOES AWAY. TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYTHING'S ADJUSTED PROPERLY, DOWN HERE ON YOUR PREHEAT FLAMES, THESE LITTLE BITY BABY BLUE FLAMES, YOU WANT TO HIT THE TRIGGER. NOW IF YOU NOTICE, THEY GREW OR KIND OF GOT A LITTLE BIGGER. SO YOU NEED TO ADD A LITTLE MORE OXYGEN TO THEM. WHOOP, WRONG WAY.

NOW THAT'S PRETTY MUCH WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR. YOU ALSO WANT TO MAKE SURE TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE SOUND OF THE TORCH. IF YOU GIVE IT TOO MUCH OXYGEN, WELL IT'LL START GETTING A LITTLE LOUDER. NOW THIS IS TECHNICALLY A HOTTER FLAME, BUT IT CAN ACTUALLY SLOW YOU DOWN IN THE CUTTING PROCESS.

THAT'S THE SWEET SPOT. WITH ALL THAT DONE YOU'RE PRETTY MUCH READY TO START DOING SOME CUTTING, BUT LET'S SAY YOU'RE DONE FOR THE DAY AND YOU'RE READY TO CUT THIS THING OFF. THE FIRST THING THAT YOU WANT TO DO IS CUT THE OXYGEN OFF FIRST. IF YOU GET IT SWAPPED UP AND DO IT THE OTHER WAY, WELL YOU'LL NOTICE THAT THE TIP WILL MAKE A POP. WHAT THAT IS, IS A LITTLE BITY EXPLOSION OF WHERE THE FIRE IS RUNNING BACK INTO THE TIP, AND THAT CAN GET YOU HURT.
