After taking on a string of hard working classics, Mike and Anthony found their next challenge in a worn out 1972 Chevrolet C-10 Super Cheyenne longbed farm truck. They called it Cream Puff. The goal was to give this tired work truck a new purpose and turn it into a street bruiser with a stance that commands attention.
Getting the look right meant major changes underneath. Mike and Anthony shortened the frame with a Porter Built frame shortening kit, along with front and rear drop members. Afterwards, they swapped the longbed for a short bed using parts from Brothers, and installed an AccuAir air ride system from Summit Racing. They also clearanced the floorpan and transmission tunnel, added wheel tubs, and finished the bed with a Bedwood Kit. The result gives Cream Puff room for modern wheels and Continental tires while letting the truck sit down low.
Under the hood, Engine Power built a serious 427 for the job. It starts with a Summit SPC Pro LS block, a 427ci forged rotating assembly, a Summit Pro LS hydraulic roller camshaft, and Trick Flow GenX 280 HIP 6 bolt cylinder heads. A ProCharger supercharger gives the C-10 the power it never had in its farm truck days. A FiTech fuel tank, hoses, and pump keep the engine supplied, while the EBC Balanced Brake Kit with steel braided brake lines help bring it back under control.
The outside will match the power. Cream Puff trades its old red and white color scheme for House of Kolor Galactic Sand Yellow and Snowstorm white, along with a custom interior to complete the transformation. What began as a worn out longbed is now becoming a low riding C-10 built to cruise hard, make noise, and own the street.
