Our Ride Of The Week Is A 1970 AMC Javelin

The ride of the week this week is a 1970 AMC Javelin resto-mod from Chris Gorris. It belonged to his dad since 1972 and was passed to him for the restoration. It’s Viper red, with an AMC 401 power plant. It makes 14lbs of boost, has diamond custom Pistons, and a MSD ignition that makes around 900 horsepower at the crank.

He says it’s usually one of a kind at the car shows and a blast to drive although it’s a bit sketchy with the power it makes in a car less than 3,000 pounds. Sideways is the word of the day when behind the wheel of this car. His next plans for the build is subframe connectors, a 4-point cage and a 6-speed TKO.
