How Factory Five Racing Made Its Way Into The Hot Rod Market!

Factory Five Racing President, Dave Smith, stopped by PowerNation to give us an update on the big additions and improvements coming out of their shop. He gave us a little bit of history behind the company and how he got started with the awesome custom builds we’re familiar with. Factory Five allows customers to hand-build awesome rides at home with the help of modern technology.

Of course, SEMA is the place to debut new vehicles and technology. And this year’s show was no exception. About a year ago, Mike and Pat from Engine Power headed to the Factory Five headquarters to help them build their first truck. It was a ’33 hot rod with an extended bed which is a long way from the typical race cars they’re known for. After a year, Factory Five has built over 100 hot rod trucks. They brought the production truck into the studio and it is awesome. It’s full-fendered, supercharged from Edelbrock with 691 horsepower. It’s even air conditioned!

And while they brought the truck to SEMA and that was big news, they also have another announcement. They re-designed the popular ’33 coupe! They made it bigger, faster, and stronger. To top it off, Factory Five teamed up with Joey Logano and built a race car based on their famous Cobra. So no matter what you’re looking for, chances are Factory Five Racing can make it happen!
