HOA Wants To Fine Residents $200 For Keeping Their Garage Doors Closed



Do you leave your garage door closed while you’re at work? Well if you were a resident of The Greens neighborhood it could cost you $200. The HOA of Auburn, CA neighborhood posted a notice for its residents saying their garage doors must stay open from 8am to 4pm Monday thru Friday.

The notice was issued after one resident was caught with people living in the garage but the other residents say they shouldn’t have to comply just because of one household. People are concerned about theft from their garage and say they have nothing to hide but should not be required to follow a rule telling them what to do with their own property. What’s the point of having a garage it has to stay open? Do you agree?
