Struggling Hertz Rental Is Selling Its Special Edition Corvette Z06s, Camaro ZL1s

Hertz Rental is one of many struggling amid the Covid-19 crisis. And in an attempt to stay afloat, the company has listed 22 of the special edition 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Z06s it had built for its 100th anniversary in 2018 on its used car sales site.

The Z06s were offered for rent at several airport locations for approximately $199 daily and now (some of them with less than 15,000 miles) will be listed from $50,000 to $70,000. Kelly Blue Book reports the going rate for a used Z06 is around $68,000.

The Z06 is powered by a 650 hp supercharged V8 and had a base price of $82,990 when new.

If you’re looking for something with a bit more power, Hertz is also looking to get its 750 HP Camaro ZL1s off the lots.

Hertz commissioned 24 of the custom ZL1s for its nationwide rental fleet in September 2019. The cars were customized by Hendrick Motorsports with a larger Callaway supercharger, Hertz-specific wheels, and embroidered headrests with Hendrick Motorsports driver William Byron’s signature.

Hertz’s website currently has two of the 24 ZL1s listed with $78,000 asking prices. One has 3,379 miles, while the other has just 1,817 miles on the clock.
