This week on PowerNation Katie features our very first Corvairs! The controversial cars are anything but for owner Jack Rohtert who collects them, 15 total. The 1963 Rampside with the side gate is rare because only around 200 are thought to still survive. Everything on the truck is original except the seat cover and that is the factory Flat Six Three by Three that makes 80 horsepower. And the freshly updated 1969 convertible has a brand new paint job from the shop of Auto Restore by Terry Peterson with the color “Metallic Green” supplied by Dale Black. Jack is also president of the Music City Corvair Club and they’d like to see this line of cars grow with a younger audience of collectors.
