PowerNation Week #46 – AutoZone & UTI Paint Project

Check out this week’s PowerNation, we take you behind the scenes as AutoZone challenges students of UTI to paint a copy of Joey Logano’s Penske Racing #22 Shell Pennzoil Ford. AutoZone’s Vice President of Marketing Brett Shanaman joins Courtney to explain all the work the students have to do, plus he’ll update us on the status of AutoZone stores inside 2 UTI campuses, with a 3rd on the way. Imagine how helpful it is for a student to be working on a project, they need a part, and all they do is head down the hallway to their very own store to order.

Also this week one of our favorite builders Chris Ryan, brings in a one of a kind, custom ’69 Firebird. You’ve never seen a Pontiac like this! The team at Ryan’s Rod & Kustom in Ninety Six, South Carolina transformed a ’69 muscle car into a European zoom zoom car for owner Bill Dixon. Bill wanted an Italian feel and he got it. It’s powered by a GM ZZ-383 engine and it’s painted in PPG 9700 Black. The car is nicknamed “Black Hawk” in honor of Bill’s son who served in the US military in Afghanistan.

It’s a very full PowerNation this week, so tune in! For more on Chris and his other projects go to RyansRodandKustom.com and as always AutoZone.com
