Pile-Up On Virginia Highway Involved More Than 60 Cars

At least 51 people were injured after a 69-vehicle wreck shut down traffic on Interstate 64 after a chain-reaction accident, Virginia State Police report. Luckily, no fatalities have been reported.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision, but it’s known that fog and ice conditions were present on Queens Creek bridge when the accident occurred.

Both lanes were shut down for hours before authorities were able to reopen the east-bound lanes in the late morning hours.
