New York, New York!- 2016 PowerNation Week #34

Besides some new tech from our shops, this week on PowerNation Katie’s featured car is a very handsome 1948 Chrysler New Yorker. Owner Mike Stewart fell in love with it at a car show just last year. It has a gorgeous Nason color called “Mirabeau Blue” and the suicide doors are a great touch to this classic. It has a small block 400 with a 400 Turbo transmission and rolls on Cragar Wheels and Michelin tires. Although Mike plans to change the interior out, right now it has a two-tone white and brown leather interior with faux alligator inserts in the seats, plus an original dash. The New Yorker was manufactured from 1940 to 1996 and was Chrysler’s upscale image car. The early ones are best known for their harmonica grills. Also this week Truck Tech’s Jeremy Bumpus will stop by to talk the art of sewing and creating upholstery and interior design. Plus Team Summit NHRA Funny Car racer Tim Wilkerson will have a cool tip on using the correct fasteners. It’s a very full block of tech this week so we hope you tune in.
