GMC has released a press release teasing the next-generation Canyon mid-size truck and introducing the off-roading AT4X trim to the Canyon family. Next to the Sierra, the Canyon will be the second GMC truck to adopt the AT4X trim, which is the automaker’s off-road package ideal for high performance and capability. “First introduced on the 2022 GMC Sierra, the AT4X trim is the off-road optimized evolution of GMC’s increasingly popular AT4 sub-brand.”

The most current version of the off-roading mid-size truck was introduced in 2021 as the Canyon AT4, which features an off-road performance package that adds a 1-inch suspension leveling kit, off-road rocker panel protection, and front and mid skid plates”.

Even though the teaser photo does not reveal much aside from the badging, fans can expect some high-quality rocker protectors, 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, and a long list of extras to take on dirt, rocks, sand, mud, and water with ease.

The 2023 GMC Canyon, and the Canyon AT4X is scheduled to arrive in the summer of 2022.
