Ahead of Indy 500, Alexander Rossi Has Tires Stolen

The twist is, the tires weren’t from Rossi’s racecar. Ahead of Sunday’s Indy 500 race, driver Alexander Rossi had the tires stolen off his golf cart at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Luckily, he found them stacked on the roof of the RV parked next to it, however, the culprit is still on the loose.

Rossi took to Twitter to show off his tire-less golf cart that his team uses to get around the track. The team is relatively sure it was a prank and Tweeted that “once I find out who it is, payback is going to be a painful lesson.” His followers had a few ideas who could be behind it including fellow drivers Tony Kanaan and Conor Daly.

Hopefully, Rossi gets the tires back on his cart and his crew ready to go for the race on Sunday, where he will start in ninth position.
