A 720 Horsepower Camaro!

A 720 Horsepower Camaro! – PowerNation 2017 Week #13

Check out PowerNation this week as Katie features this gorgeous 1971 Camaro built by Tim Palazzolo from GAP Racing. Tim will talk about the two year build for owner Rob Roberts, who wanted a cool coastal cruiser to enjoy with his son on the Hot Rod Power Tour. Tim and his team dropped in a 720 horsepower LS-9 with a Bowler Performance 6-speed transmission. It rolls on HRE Wheels and Nitto drag radials, using big Baer Brakes to stop all that power.

There’s a lot of carbon fiber accents including the firewall, supercharger cover, inner rear wells and into the interior as well with a rear seat delete and other carbon fiber hints in the door panels. Jan VanCooten of Stitch By Stitch added custom stitching to the Recaro seats, plus it has a custom dash with Race-Pak gauges. And we have to talk about the paint. Randy Borcherding from Painthouse did all the body work and paint, covering the Camaro in a custom color called “Super Duper Blue”. Randy will join Tim later in the show to talk about some of the joint projects the two Texans are working on right now. We hope you tune in!
