1934 Ford Owned By Eddie Van Halen Heads To Auction
Since guitar legend Eddie Van Halen’s death last year, memorabilia and items from his estate have been auctioned off. The latest item? His custom 1934 Ford Sedan.
Online auction site Gotta Have Rock and Roll has the car currently listed. Van Halen purchased the car in 1991, but did sell it several years ago. It traded hands again recently at a Barrett-Jackson auction in 2017 for $88,000.
Per the auction site:
Eddie Van Halen’s personally owned and driven custom 1934 Ford Sedan red Hot Rod car. Excellent condition, this incredible car is a rare four-door, very hard to find in this condition and extensive customization. The car comes with a copy of the Eddie’s signed original State of California Certificate of Title with the transfer date of 06/26/91. It lists Eddie as the registered owner at the address 15760 Ventura Boulevard, 700, Encinco, CA 91436. Eddie signed the original title twice. The title states the year and make of the car, “34 Ford”, the plate number 2VVN631, vehicle ID number 18527148, and body type model “4D”.
The auction site also says the car has been housed in a climate-controlled garage and features a host of custom details created specifically for him. The lot also comes with a beautiful fender guitar signed by the original Van Halen lineup, Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, David Lee Roth and Michael Anthony and an Eddie Van Halen signed framed piece. In addition to the copy of the original Eddie Van Halen signed title, the car also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
They estimate the car is worth $150,000 to $200,000 today, but there are no bids at this time. For more information regarding this car please contact Gotta Have Rock and Roll at 212-750-7900 or e-mail at email@example.com.
