The ’32 Ford That Makes George Poteet’s Collection That Much Cooler

We get the chance to visit land speed record holder, George Poteet’s car collection just outside of Memphis, Tennessee. His collection is nothing short of amazing and we even get to ride in one of the vehicles.

George has been collecting cars since the 1960s and has built his shop on about 3 acres of land. One vehicle he really wanted was a ’32 Ford so he asked Alan Johnson of Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop if he could build him one. Pretty much all he told Alan was he wanted was for it to be black. So Alan got to work and made it happen!

His desire to start collecting cars came from growing up on the farm working on vehicles. When he got to the point he could afford them he started purchasing the vehicles he wanted and never sold any so it became a collection. Thanks for having us, George!
