Lee Iacocca’s Dodge Viper, Vin 001, Heads To Auction

There have been several iconic cars crossing auction blocks in 2020 including the Bullitt Mustang and the Eleanor Mustang. Although this one isn’t a movie car, it’s iconic nonetheless.

Bonhams

Now, the very first Dodge Viper to roll off an assembly line is crossing the block at the Bonhams auction in Scottsdale, Arizona later today. The 1992 Dodge Viper RT/10 wears the VIN 001 AND was owned by the late Lee Iacocca.

Iacocca was the one to introduce the Dodge Viper to the world back at the 1990 Detroit Auto Show.

The Viper has less than 6,500 miles on the odometer and is being auctioned without reserve so it’s expected to sell for anywhere between $100,000 and $125,000. The Viper RT/10 houses an 8.0-liter V-10 under the hood pushing out 400 horsepower.

So if you’re interested in owning “The world’s most desirable Dodge Viper” head on over to Bonhams!
