VW Emissions Cheating Has Extended To Porsche



It’s been awhile since we covered the VW Emissions scandal. And yes, it’s still going on and now includes Porsche. The Drive reports Germany’s automotive regulator has asked Volkswagen’s Porsche sports car division to recall at least 60,000 cars. The diesel-engine Cayenne and Macan SUVs are the only models affected so far.

Inspections revealed the two SUVs have software designed to reduce the emissions control. The scandal has been going on since 2015 after the EPA found several VW cars that were cheating emissions testing. Porsche said it takes full responsibility and will contact owners with affected vehicles.
