This UMP Modified Celebrating Summit Racing’s 50th Anniversary Will Be Auctioned Off!

Summit Racing Equipment is celebrating 50 years of business in 2018! To celebrate, our team in the Engine Power shop has built a Summit Racing 50th Anniversary Tribute Car. Summit Racing Equipment customers include grassroots and sportsman racers and Summit supports them with sponsorships in DIRTcar, IMCA, and USMTS. So naturally, this build is a race car for DIRTcar UMP Modified dirt track competition.

The race car is based on a chassis from Impressive Race Cars and outfitted with suspension, brake, and drivetrain parts from well-known race component manufacturers. Owner of Impressive Race Cars, Don Jumper, worked alongside Mike and Pat to assemble the car to meet DIRTcar UMP Modified rules. To get it ready to race under the hood, Mike and Pat put their horsepower expertise to work building an 18-degree small block Chevy for the car.

Veteran UMP Modified driver Mike Harrison will assist with testing and tuning before the car is auctioned off for charity during the DIRTcar Summit Racing Modified Mania at Tri-City Speedway September 27th and 28th.
