The McLaren 720S Has An Incredible Lap Time



The McLaren 720S premiers next week at Geneva and so far it sounds awesome. The new super series is built around a carbon fiber mono-cage, packs a new 4.0 twin-turbo V8, weighs just 2,828 lbs., does the quarter mile in 10.3 seconds and stops from 124 mph in just 4.6 seconds.

In addition, an accelerometer is in each wheel hub, which will let the 720S do some insane drifting. It’ll set up the chassis and drivetrain perfectly at any time and at any speed or angle. Something even cooler than all of that is McLaren’s new folding driver display, that folds out of the way into slim mode for drivers who want no distractions while driving on the track
