Over 75 Cars Were Impounded By California Police During A Street Race Meet Just For Spectating

Just being there is enough to get you in trouble. Seventy-eight cars that were driven by spectators at a street takeover in LA were impounded. The Instagram post above shows several of the alleged participants sitting on a sidewalk under CHP supervision.

It’s reported that the street race meet was in Industry, California. These meets usually involve several cars shutting down a public road to perform stunts.

Street Racer Task Force is the account above and is a multi-agency group that works with law enforcement to crack down on street racing and takeovers.

These types of meets are nothing new and happen across the country. They differ from regular street racing however, in that they shut down the street and cause pretty big inconvenience for other drivers on the road.
