Man Steals Beer Truck, Leads Police On Slow-Speed Chase

There have been a lot of odd chases over the years. We’ve seen everything from ambulances to forklifts used as getaway vehicles. With this chase, however, it wasn’t so much the vehicle used as the chase itself.

A Rhode Island man is suspected of trying to steal a beer delivery truck. Jeremy Fellela reportedly jumped into the truck full of beer bottles and kegs which were to be delivered to a Providence liquor store. Fellela then drove off, leading officers on a low-speed chase.

The incident was caught on video and showed the truck’s liftgate open and which allowed the bottles and kegs to spill into the street. Police trailed behind him before he eventually crashed into a utility pole after about two miles.

Fellela was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, eluding police, reckless driving, and refusal to submit a chemical test.
