Joe Biden Has The Need For Speed

There’s no debating who has the need for speed in the @WhiteHouse.

The VP has a love for speed and the Secret Service lets him live a little for an episode of Jay Leno’s Garage. Vice President Joe Biden drives his ‘Vette, and he promptly does a burnout when they let him get behind the wheel. Imagine not being able to drive your car for months (or years depending how long you’re in office). You’d probably get a little crazy, too.

Biden’s father gave him the Corvette as a wedding present in 1967. His sons Beau and Hunter had the engine rebuilt recently and both he and Leno say it runs perfectly. Biden says it’s the “only car he’s ever loved.” The green convertible has a four-speed manual transmission and a 327 V8 engine with 300 horsepower.
