Instagram Influencer Accused Of Staging Motorcycle Accident For Photos

Instagram “Influencers” are notorious for doing just about anything to create content and generate likes. But is this allegedly “faked” post going too far?

Instagrammer, Tiffany Mitchell, or @tifforelie is a Nashville-based “influencer” who lives her entire life trying to be ascetically pleasing and capturing just the right moments for the ‘Gram.

Naturally, she had to document her ride in Leipers Fork, TN on a BMW flat-twin motorcycle from start to finish. Because who doesn’t take a photographer and model-like friend with them on a casual weekend ride?

*Note the photos have been taken down from her account after the post went viral but not before the internet got screenshots.

Thankfully, she wasn’t seriously hurt in this alleged crash. But what’s even luckier is that her friend Lindsey was there to shoot these very carefully composed photos with the helmet and waters placed just right.

You’re not the only one who thinks it may be a bit too perfect. Followers were quick to point out how it oddly looked like a paid post for Smartwater. People started asking questions on the post and she responded by saying:

“I’m sad that some people are taking it that way. I didn’t know she was taking them, but later on, when she showed them to me I was so grateful that she captured such an intense moment for me.”

However, if the accident and post were indeed real, the takeaway is to always wear proper protective gear when riding – whether it’s Instagrammable or not.
