Every family has their holiday traditions this time of year. Opening presents under the tree, making gingerbread houses, and singing Christmas carols. Some of us even put on a yule log to get into the holiday spirit. But if there’s one movie franchise that understands the importance of family, it’s the Fast Saga. So for this year, when all of your relatives gather for the holidays, you can complete the occasion with the official Fast & Furious yule log!

It’s All About Family

Traditionally, yule logs are a sweet dessert that everyone enjoys. But thanks to the internet, it has transformed into a virtual fireplace that plays on your TV for hours while festive Christmas music plays in the background. For people who do not have the means to light a fire in their homes, the digital fireplace is a safer alternative to get in the spirit.

Now, with the internet being the internet, there are all kinds of Yule Log videos out there. There’s the normal fireplace one that everyone loves. But there are also some more creative takes available too, like a fire pit on the beach in Florida, ones with cute kittens getting warm by the fire, and even a 10-hour Yule Log video with actor Nick Offerman. But the Yule Log of 2023 has to go to the official Fast & Furious YouTube channel.

The Yule Log of the Year

The 1-hour video begins with the famous backyard BBQ scene from the first Fast movie as Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) cooks up some chicken on the grill. Fifteen seconds in, the video cuts to the grill with sizzling chicken, small clouds of smoke, and crackling fire as your senses are filled with the satisfying sounds of similar Yule Log videos.

Amazingly, after an hour on the grill, the chicken remains unburned. But that hardly remains the point of the video. At the 55-second mark, we hear Toretto say, “Money’ll come and go, we know that. The most important thing in life will always be the people in this room, right here, right now.”

Whether they’ll be ten more of these Yule Log videos in the future remains to be seen.
