Autopilot Mode Now Can’t Be Set Over The Speed Limit



Until a recent update that’s slowly making it’s way to Tesla owners, the autopilot speed control was able to be set above the speed limit. But Tesla is now making the autopilot follow the rules of the road more carefully, according to Electrek who says Tesla has confirmed the update.

Before the update, Tesla drivers could set the autopilot’s “Traffic-Aware Cruise Control” up to 5 mph over the speed limit while using autosteer. Now though, they can’t exceed the posted speed limit, even by 1mph. Some Tesla owners see it as an upgrade as far as safety is concerned; others think the limitations take away from the features they already paid for. What do you think?
