A Ford GT Burned To The Ground After Only 40 Miles
With how far technology as progressed as it is, you would think things like this wouldn’t happen. Unfortunately for this Ford GT, it did.
It’s reported that the GT only had just over 40 miles on it when German fire crews responded to a call at the Ostermünchener Bahnhof and extinguished the flames coming from the $500,000 car and contain what was considered “an oil spill.” Fortunately, the driver, 52-year-old man, and his son were able to get out unhurt before the conflagration consumed the car.
Although the oil (or multiple fluids) leak is assumed to be the main cause, Ford engineers are still in the process of determining exactly what happened.
