This Guy Threw A Birthday Party For A Pothole So The City Would Fix It

This is one way to get the city’s attention and fix the local roads. Kansas City resident, Frank Sereno, threw a birthday party for a 3-month-old pothole in front of his house. Within days of posting the photo of a slice of cake with a candle on top, the city came and filled it in.

That was just one hole out of hundreds Sereno has reported to the city without a response. Sereno first reported the hole in March and says his main concern is safety. Being a motorcyclist enthusiast, he says he’s driven past potholes in the asphalt that could cause him to fly off his bike.

He’s hoping he doesn’t need to throw another pothole party saying, “It’s great that they came and fixed it, but my gosh, if this is what it takes to get potholes fixed, we’ll never get anything done.”
