The Jeep Wrangler has always been an off-road favorite, some even might say THE off-road favorite. The new 2017 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon will sure to be a favorite amongst off-road enthusiasts for sure. It debuted at the Chicago Auto Show and what we know about it so far, it sounds amazing!

The package will be available on both the Wrangler 2-door and 4-door Wrangler Unlimited.

Some of the notable chassis upgrades is a larger front axle, heavy-duty end forgings, heavy-duty cast front, rear differential covers and a half-inch lift and shortened off-road rock rails that are designed for 35-inch tires. It’s also fitted with the Wrangler’s part-time 4-wheel drive system that is great for intense off-roading!

The 2017 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon is also equipped with a standard 6-speed manual transmission which helps produce a 73.1:1 crawl ratio. A 5-speed automatic can also be an option if desired.

The two-door Rubicon Recon will start at $40,140 and the four door will start at $43,940. This is compared to the base Rubicon which has a starting price of $34,190 and that’s with the two-door version. The recon adds quite a bit to the price of the base Rubicon but with all of the cool specs, it seems worth it!
