Tesla Is Breaking Their Own Record

Just 3 months ago the Tesla Model S P100D set the record for quickest 4-door production vehicle in the world after a 10.76 seconds run in the quarter-mile. But the Tesla team outdid themselves with the new and improved Ludicrous Plus feature.

The P100D beat its own record time by .04 seconds after it took on a 640-horsepower Cadillac CTS-V. This is inching it closer to the 10.6 seconds quarter-mile time Elon Musk announced with the software update. The updated Ludicrous mode unlocks 35 extra horsepower and increases the 0-62mph acceleration to 2.7 seconds. And although it’s impressive the new record is still waiting on certification. Either way Tesla still holds the title.
