Monstrous Twin-Turbo Cadillac CTS-V Delivers 1,800 Horsepower

Refined luxury and elegance meeting raw brute force is the best way to describe a Cadillac CTS-V. Now, imagine adding a twin-turbo and pumping out close to 2,000 horsepower in a car that produces nearly no road sounds as it cruises down the highway at 80 mph with its lavish interior.

Well, maybe this particular CTS-V isn’t that quiet inside as its rockets down the road, especially with its unique exhaust setup. If this isn’t an example of beauty and the beast, then we’re not sure what is at this point.

In a video posted to That Racing Channel on YouTube, they feature Saul’s Twin-Turbo CTS-V with a 76MM turbo 427 LSX V8 that produces an absolute ridiculous 1,823WHP on 40psi of boost. Although it runs predominantly on E85, there is an application that allows it to run on 91 pump gas, which is useful if they’re unable to find E85 when cruising.

The video takes place on the road, but we wouldn’t consider this street legal, especially with the exhaust that shoots through the hood and spits flames. If you look at it from the rear – it has a parachute – that’s how you know it means business, but that’s not for us to judge.

With its grimacing hoodless look, Saul opted to keep it this way due to the Arizona heat. He mentions that in its current configuration, it helps keep the engine cooler, which is important when running a setup like this in the middle of the desert.

Despite its label as a luxury car, we don’t think you’ll be doing much cruising in this beast, but it still drives like a Cadillac at the end of the day. In the video, you can see that’s not what it was designed to do.

Saul is confident about the power of his ride. In the video he’s quoted saying “I can tape a $100 bill to the dashboard and tell you to take your seatbelt off I can guarantee you wouldn’t be able to take it when we’re going.”

It’s unlike other CTS-V’s you’ll see in the street. In the video they discuss how most are supercharged from the factory and people wouldn’t dare change it. “I just wanted something different from all the other builds out there.” And different it is.
