McLaren Driver Thinks Flooded Road Is No Issue

After storms rolled through the Southeast, the streets of Charleston, SC were left flooded. The city received over 5″ of rain in less than 12 hours.

Drivers shouldn’t be driving through flooded roadways regardless. But you’d think that if you were behind the wheel of a $200,000+ car you would be extra cautious. Apparently, not this driver.

Whether the driver saw the other vehicles ahead of them and thought it was safe or just didn’t care, this ended up badly for them. It starts out okay but the farther the driver gets into the water the more traction they lose. Eventually, the car is swept away and carried sideways into the embankment.

That’s a hard (and probably expensive) lesson to learn but it’s another example of why you shouldn’t drive any vehicle through flood waters.
