If You’re Gapping Spark Plugs This Way, You’re Doing It Wrong
April 13th, 2016
Engine Power host, Pat Topolinski, shows you how you MIGHT be doing it wrong if you're gapping spark plugs this way! If you close the gap by hitting the ground strap against a hard surface, that's not correct. That method risks ruining the the spark plug internally OR cracking the ground strap. The best way to correctly set a gap by closing it is with a ground strap tool...this gives you a consistent gap every time! At the end of the day, don't be brutal with your plug gapping and invest in the right tools!
