If you close the gap by hitting the ground strap against a hard surface, that’s not correct. That method risks ruining the the spark plug internally OR cracking the ground strap. The best way to correctly set a gap by closing it is with a ground strap tool…this gives you a consistent gap every time! At the end of the day, don’t be brutal with your plug gapping and invest in the right tools!
