GM Halting Production Of Chevrolet Impala, Cruze, Volt; Laying Off 14,000 Employees

Big news coming out of the world of General Motors. According to the company, it will stop production of the Cruze, the Impala, and the Volt starting next year.

Other cars that will cease production in the United States but will be available for purchase in other countries will include the Cadillac XTS, Cadillac CT6, and Buick LaCrosse.

Other big news is that GM is likely shutting down five of its plants in North America and laying off 15% of its salary workers, and about 25% of its executive jobs. That means 14,000+ people will be out of a job. This is to help cut costs and work on streamlining the business. That's the gist.
