Find Out How They Transformed This Gold GTO Beauty!

Go Gold GTO! – 2016 PowerNation Week #8

We’ve got this gorgeous gold colored GTO tribute for you this week along with four more brand new episodes from our shops. Katie welcomes the father-son team of Dave and Trent Wendell of Wendell Street Rods who took a 1966 LeMans convertible they found in a barn and transformed it into a GTO tribute. These guys are expert craftsmen and did a lot of bodywork and English Wheel work, narrowed the rear frame 3 inches, raised the hood scoop 3 inches, and fabbed up their own mini-tubs. They dropped in a Pontiac 400 Tri-Power that makes 360 horsepower with a Tremec 6 speed. Inside there’s a gorgeous example of their skill with a center console that runs through the interior. The black leather on buckets from a ’66 Caddy and custom dash, plus a ’93 Camaro gauge cluster round out the look. Check it all out this week on PowerNation.
