An Engine Option For The 2021 Ford Bronco Has Been Leaked

We can thank our Canadian neighbors for this bit of automotive news that has been leaked. Canadian Tire recently updated its website and the 2021 Ford Bronco is now included in its parts finder tool which is seeming to confirm one of the engine choices which is indeed a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder.

As of the publication of this article, the information is live on the Canadian Tire website. After selecting the Bronco in the drop-down menu (which is the only 2021 vehicle available) the single option is a 4-140 2.3L DOHC which can also be found in the Mustang, new Ford Explorer, and the Ford Ranger.

The SUV will reportedly share both a platform and a plant with the U.S.-market Ranger, so it only makes sense that it will receive the pickup’s engine, even if it doesn’t remain the sole option. The engine puts out 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. And while this is an exciting leak of information it is still all unofficial until the Blue Oval makes more details available.
