2020 GMC Sierra Allows You To “See Through” Towed Trailer

While the GMC Sierra might not be the beefiest, strongest heavy-duty truck to join the lineup, it will still offer an option that might have you reaching for your wallet. For those that are constantly towing, the new 2500 and 3500 trucks come equipped with a 360-degree camera feature that allows for you to “see” through the trailer you’re towing to the road behind you.

There’s a wired accessory camera that mounts to the back of your trailer along with another on the tailgate which stitches together a view that displays on the screen. With 15 views available, another cool view is inside the trailer to see if any items have shifted or to check on animals that may be riding along inside.

The gasoline engine hasn’t been revealed just yet, but an updated version of the 6.6-liter Duramax diesel is always an option capable of 445 horses and 910 lb-ft of torque, and it will be available to a 10-speed automatic transmission. It also sits on a larger, stronger frame. GMC says that the max towing rating will go beyond the latest models 30,000-pound capacity.
