Watch A Corvette ZR1 Hit 190 MPH Without Its Giant Rear Wing

You don’t go to The Texas Mile unless you’re looking for speed. And it’s exactly where this 2019 Corvette ZR1 apparently hit 190.1 mph there over the weekend.

And it’s true, 190.1 mph isn’t exactly lightening speed when it comes to cars that take on the Texas Mile, their Facebook page reports this 755-horsepower ZR1 came to the event’s airport runway completely stock. Not too shabby. It doesn’t look quite right though. And that’s because after some slower mile runs, the group running the car decided to peel off the wing that comes down to provide a claimed extra 950 pounds of downforce. The post said it ran nearly 10 mph slower at 180.8 mph with the wing on the back
