Video: Watch Factory Five Build A Type 65 Coupe Live At SEMA

At this year’s 2018 SEMA show, Factory Five came out swinging with one indoor booth and two outdoor booths. One of the outside booths was dedicated to building a car live in front of the SEMA crowd. Factory Five teamed up with NASCAR champ Joey Logano where they built one of their Type 65 Coupe – a Daytona Coupe Replica – live in front of the outside SEMA crowd. It went from just a tubular chassis to drifting around Ford Out Front in a span just a few days.

At the beginning of the show, the Factory Five booth was basically a pile of parts waiting to be assembled. The body of the car sat at one end of the booth, and the Coyote crate motor, seats, headers, exhaust, and everything else to go on the car sat in another corner. The tubular chassis sat smack in the middle of the booth.

During the build, they stuffed one of Ford’s main powerhouse motors inside the 65 Type Coupe – the 5.0L Coyote. Factory Five suspension along with Koni coilover shocks, a solid axle rear end, and Wilwood brakes are more components that helped bring this build to life.
