This Miata Burns Out Until It’s Up In Flames

This burnout literally burned a Mazda Miata. The driver of this first generation V8-swapped Miata entered a burnout contest at VIR’s Hyperfest in Virginia and burned out until the car went up in flames!

With the front of the Miata pressed up against the concrete barrier, there was pretty much no room for fresh air to get to his radiator which resulted in a burst of flames about 30 seconds later. Jalopnik reports the driver got out safely, nobody was hurt, and the best part is while guys were still attempting to put out the flames, the driver runs back to grab a beer from the cooler he had in the back. That’s how you do a burnout.

It has a 6L LS making about 550 horsepower and of course comes with HiJacker Shocks. Jeremy will stop by also to talk about how he painted it, including an amazing water droplet effect.
