Jay Leno Suffers Serious Burns in Car Fire

UPDATE (11/15/22): Leno tells TMZ that he received burns from a gasoline fire and that he is doing fine. He will just need a few weeks of rest and recovery.

Comedian and TV host Jay Leno is reportedly receiving treatment for serious burns to his face, according to TMZ.

Leno was reportedly in his L.A. garage where he keeps his large car collection when one of his cars suddenly broke out in flames. Sources tell TMZ that the fire caused by the incident burned the left side of his face, but had left his left eye and left ear unscathed.

He was transported to the burn ward at the Grossman Burn Center where he is receiving treatment for his injuries. It has not been disclosed the severity of his injuries, but it is serious enough for his to receive professional medical attention.

Leno was booked to attend several engagements this week, all of which he will no longer be attending. Leno was scheduled to attend the Financial Brand conference on Sunday, November 20th, but the event’s organizers said that he will not be attending due to a “very serious medical emergency.”
