Honking Your Horn Can Now Get You A Ticket

Your horn is there for a reason – to get people’s attention. But a Hawaiian woman got a ticket for using hers. According to news station WKRN, the woman used her horn to stop a driver from cutting her off, not realizing the driver was a police officer. The officer then pulled her over and wrote her a ticket for $72. She says she only beeped her horn once and was afraid she was going to hit him, but the officer said she should have noticed he was in a government vehicle. Apparently, this is common in Hawaii, there’s been 5 citations for “unnecessary use of horn” on the islands. What’s the craziest thing you’ve gotten a ticket for? Would you fight this?
