Engine Power: Torque Plate Honing In-House For Our 408 Windsor

Pat Topolinski and Mike Galley are doing big things with the 351 Windsor project in the Engine Power shop. Machine operations are in full force, and our Windsor block was torque plate honed in-house with the help of our Sunnen SV-15 cylinder honing machine! The bottoms of the bores were notched for rod bolt clearance. Next stop – 408! The guys also mocked up the 408 Windsor with two Dominators on a high ram. Pat says the future version will be testing a few induction packages. According to Pat, the final iteration could be a “full bore race bullet sporting an aftermarket block, big solid roller cam, and some compression worthy of Q16”. Keep watching the History channel Sunday mornings at 7:30 a.m. Eastern Time to keep up with what’s going on in the Engine Power shop!
