Houston Streets, Before and After Harvey

Hurricane Harvey has been absolutely devastating to Texas, with a reported 30,000 to 40,000 destroyed homes as well as numerous deaths. It’s one of the worst hurricanes ever to hit the United States and the flood damage is still occurring right at this very moment. Floodwaters continue to rise, which threaten more lives and homes by the minute. Parts of Houston set a record for rainfall from a single storm anywhere in the continental United States, with a top reading on Tuesday afternoon at being 51.88 inches!

It’s reported that the Houston Police Department has rescued more than 3,500 people from flooding so far. What you see in this video is a google map view of what the roadways and other parts of Houston looked like before the hurricane, as well as another view of the current situation of the extreme flooding. It’s absolutely shocking to see the stark contrast between the before and after.
