Don’t pretend you didn’t read that and hear the nursery rhyme in your head. In this story though, the spider came back for revenge on the driver of this car after the rain washed them out.

There are various causes of car accidents. Some stem from speeding, others from texting, but as that one insurance commercial about all of the strange causes of accidents, we know a thing or two because we’ve seen a thing or two. Well, now, we’ve seen it all. This spider-caused traffic accident is something we can all relate to because you know darn well you’d react the same if a creepy-crawly came out of nowhere while you were driving.

A story from North Shore News about our neighbors in the north explained how a driver in Vancouver was minding her own business and driving down the road until the unthinkable happened. The spider, believing it was safe, came down its web and caused the woman to go into full-blown panic mode. Whether you’re scared of spiders or not, this is enough to bring an adult to their knees in fear.

Once the spider descended from its safe space, it caused the woman to weave erratically, causing her to flip the Hyundai Elantra and hit a stump. Photos from the accident, which you can find on the news site, show the car completely upside down. Fortunately, it looks much worse than it ended up.

The driver was able to remove herself from the vehicle. While she sustained no injuries, she walks away with a story that’ll make any of us cry from laughter after it’s told. All that matters is she’s OK, but after hearing of this tangled web of a tale, we’ll all be looking twice before getting into our cars to make sure none of our passengers have eight legs. Only two or four-legged passengers are allowed in our vehicles!
