A post from GM Authority says that General Motors moved 69,048 combined units of the Chevy Silverado and the GMC Sierra, which was a 12.05 percent increase on a year-over-year basis.

The site says that 49,201 units were Silverados while the Sierra moved 19,847 units.

As for the other two American brands, Ford only moved 68,106 units (down 4.23 percent), according to the site, and RAM was responsible for 43,775.

Could the release of the aluminum-bodied 2015 F-150 be a factor in Ford’s slump in sales?
