A Little Reminder To Latch Your Hood Before You Hit The Track!

Obviously, you should always do a quick once-over of your vehicle before you race it. Things like making sure hoods are latched, tire tread and anything that might be loose is tightened. Otherwise, you could end up like this guy.

As this driver in a Porsche 911 found out, if you don’t close the hood properly, air will get under at speed, could possibly force the hood open and completely free of its hinges. And it can end in a few different ways. It can fly totally clear of the car, which is probably the best possible outcome or it can hit the car it was attached to or another innocent driver.

So just remember, safety first when racing!
