There’s A Flying Dune Buggy You Can Actually Buy

Ok for you flying car skeptics out there, this may change your mind. MotorTrend reported a company called Skyrunner has created a flying dune buggy. The shape looks like any other off-road buggy out there and even has common buggy equipment like a Polaris ProStar 1,000cc engine and Maxxis Bighorn tires. However, this is where things get crazy. If at any time you get tired of driving the buggy, you can deploy a parachute, which, with the help of a rear-mounted aircraft engine powering a propeller, will instantly take you into the sky.

How high? The Skyrunner Flying Buggy has a maximum altitude of 10,000 feet and can climb at a rate of 465 feet per minute, according to MotorTrend. It also has a flight range of 120 miles. As for the price, it only costs $139,000, which isn’t that bad considering it’s literally a flying vehicle. What do you think, let us know in the comments?
