Souces insist that this will not be a remake of the classic 1968 film, rather a new take on Frank Bullitt. In the original film, McQueen’s Frank Bullitt is one of San Francisco’s finest hunting down a mob boss who killed a witness under his protection. On top of the story, Bullitt is also known for having one of the greatest car chase sequences captured on film.

Steve McQueen’s son, Chad, and his granddaughter Molly McQueen will also serve as the film’s executive producers.
