Extreme Heat Wave Causes New Speed Limits On The Autobahn



A heat wave with temperatures exceeding 100º hit Germany this week. And it has caused authorities to place a temporary speed limit on sections of the typically unrestricted Autobahn.

The government of Saxony-Anhalt has concerns that the roads could crack due to the extreme temperatures. And naturally, that would pose a danger to vehicles traveling on the road at triple-digit speeds. The temporary limits ranging from 62 mph to 75 mph.
