Winner Picks Up The Detroit Muscle Valvoline Camaro!

The guys at Detroit Muscle built a a Valvoline 2017 Chevrolet Camaro SS last season to give away to one lucky winner. Hunter Hedstrom was that lucky guy, and he only entered the giveaway one time. Hunter, 23, stopped by the studio yesterday with his dad, Jim Hedstrom, to claim his supercharged prize. The pair flew into Nashville, spent some time on the town, and then planned to drive the Camaro all the way back home to Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

Detroit Muscle’s Tommy Boshers and Marc Christ were busy covering the Detroit Auto Show, so Engine Power host Pat Topolinski was more than happy to assist Hunter with his new vehicle. Congrats, Hunter! We hope you enjoy your new ride!

About the Valvoline Camaro: Straight from the factory, the car came with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine with 455 horsepower and 455 lb. ft. of torque. The Detroit Muscle guys opted for an 8-speed automatic complete with paddle shifters. In its stock form, the car can go from 0-40 in four seconds. It also came with huge Brembo brakes from the factory to halt all of that power To keep it cool it has cooling ducts, three radiators up front, a transmission cooler, and a rear diff cooler. Well, you know it wouldn’t stay factory for long in the hands of Tommy and Marc.

Marc and Tommy brought the Camaro SS into the Detroit Muscle shop and gave it some upgraded performance and personality. Now topping the big V8 is an Edelbrock E-Force supercharger. E3 Spark plugs ignition components and spark plugs were also installed to keep this Camaro happy and firing right up. They gave it a nice stance and improved handling with the help of some black-powder coated progressive rate Eibach Pro-Sport springs by Summit Racing, and also a BMR powder coated sway bar from Summit Racing along with all the polyurethane brackets, bushings, etc. They switched out the brakes for a set of EBC Brakes sport brakes and rotors. Setting off the exterior is a set of 20-inch Wheel Pros AR924 Crossfire wheels wrapped with Continental General G-Max RS tires. Last but certainly not least, it was topped with Valvoline modern engine oil!
